Parts list: 1 x Air filter Element. 1 x Silicone Intake Hose. 1 x Flexi Cold Air Hose. 1 x Metal Adaptor Hose. 1 x Literature Pack. Fixing Kit :- 3 x Plastic Tie. 3 x #44 Hose Clamp. 1 x Mounting Bracket. 1 x M6 Nylock Nut. 2 x M6 Flat Washer. 1 x Hex Head Bolt M6x20.
Instruction sheet A2054-768 1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the vehicle battery. 2. To the install induction kit it is necessary to remove the bulkhead trims: 3. Unclip & remove the side cover surrounding the washer bottle etc. (Fig. 1) 4. Unscrew & remove the brake fluid reservoir from the bulkhead. (Fig. 2) 5. Unbolt & remove both the wiper arms from the vehicle. (Fig. 3&4) 6. Unclip & remove the battery surround as shown. (Fig. 5) 7. Remove the securing screws from both sides of the plastic bulk head support frame. (Fig. 6) 8. Unclip the sound deadening trim from the support frame & then remove the push button clip from the centre of the bulk head support frame. Carefully remove the frame from the vehicle. (Fig. 7&8) 9. Unclip & carefully remove the bulkhead trim. (Fig. 9) 10. Unclip & remove the sound deadening material from the vehicle. (Fig.10) 11. Pull the plastic engine cover from its mounts & remove from the vehicle. (Fig.11) 12. Unclip & remove the intake pipe from between the turbo & air box assembly. (Fig.12,13&14) 13. Unclip & remove the air box feed pipes as shown. (Fig.15&16) 14. Unclip & remove the electrical harness plug from the MAS (Mass Air Sensor). (Fig.17) 15. Unscrew & remove the air box lid assembly from the air box base & remove from the vehicle. (Fig.18) 16. Remove the air filter & pull the air box base from its securing grommets. Remove the assembly from the vehicle. (Fig.19&20) 17. Unscrew & carefully remove the MAS from the air box lid assembly. (Fig.21) 18. Carefully refit the MAS to the original intake pipe & secure using the original hose clamp. Fit the mounting bracket to the hole in the MAS using the bolt, washers & nylock nut supplied. (Fig.22) 19. Secure the filtercharger to the supplied intake hose using the metal adaptor tube & hose clamps supplied. (Fig.23) 20. Secure the filtercharger / intake assembly to the MAS using the hose clamp supplied. (Fig.24) 21. Remove the right hand rear bolt from the cam cover as shown. (Fig.25) 22. Refit the intake pipe assembly to the turbo & tighten the original clamp. (Fig.26&27) 23. Ensuring that the mounting bracket lines up with the hole in the cam cover secure the bracket using the original bolt. Ensure sufficient clearances for the filtercharger & intake hose assembly. (Fig.28) 24. Reconnect the electrical harness plug to the MAS. (Fig.29) 25. Carefully expand the flexi cold air hose. Feed the hose down to the lower under-tray, feed the hose through the hole in the tray & secure using the plastic ties supplied. (Fig.30) 26. Position the other end of the hose to finish approx. 4″ / 10cm from the filtercharger & secure using the plastic ties supplied. (Fig.31) 27. Refit the engine cover to the engine as shown. (Fig.32) 28. Refit the sound deadening material, bulkhead trims, brake reservoir, battery surrounds, wiper arms etc previously removed for access. 29. Reconnect the negative battery terminal. 30. Carry out a final check of the height / alignment of the K&N induction system before starting the engine.
WARNING: Before starting the engine carry out a final fitment check of the K&N performance kit. It will be necessary for all intake systems to be checked periodically for realignment, clearance and tightening of all connections. Failure to follow the above instructions or proper maintenance may void the warranty. FILTER MAINTENANCE: K&N suggests checking the filter periodically for excessive dirt build-up. When the element becomes covered in dirt (or once a year), service it according to the instructions on the Recharger service kit available from your K&N dealer, part number 99- 5000 or 99-5050.
